The state recorded another grim high of 3,101 fresh infections on Wednesday, by far the highest single-day spike so far. The number of active cases rose to a staggering 18,828, putting immense load on the state’s already crumbling healthcare infrastructure. With 24 deaths, the state’s toll rose to 1,111.
