WB govt fixes cracker timings, but only for green ones

The West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) has announced a blanket ban on fireworks except the green ones during Kali Puja, Chhath, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The board has even specified timings for bursting of crackers — 8pm to 10pm on Diwali, 6am to 8am on Chhath, and from11.55pm to 12.30am on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
