A 1,000-crore venture capital fund is set to develop Tamil Nadu's space-tech ecosystem, aiming to grow India’s space economy fivefold in ten years. Vishesh Rajaram of Speciale Invest said it will attract private and foreign investments due to liberalized FDI policies for satellite-manufacturing announced in February. Srinath Ravichandran of Agnikul Cosmos highlighted its support for larger players. Lt Gen A K Bhatt (retd) from the Indian Space Association emphasized that it addresses funding challenges and supports nascent ventures, aided by comprehensive policy support to increase India’s share in the global space economy.
