Karnataka has highest number of old vehicles
Days after the Union government announced its vehicle scrappage policy aimed at phasing out old and defective vehicles to curb air pollution, it has emerged that Karnataka has the highest number — 70 lakh — of aged vehicles plying on its roads. Of them, 31.9 lakh of them are 15 to 20 years and 38.1 lakh above 20 years.
