After a defeat in the first Test against England, Team India will look to bounce back when they take part in the second match. The second Test is scheduled to start on Friday, 2 February in Visakhapatnam. India went down to England in the first match by 28 runs after a valiant effort by Ollie Pope, who scored 196. England set India a target of 231 runs and then Tom Hartley stepped up and picked up seven wickets to stun the hosts.

Visakhapatnam has already hosted one Test match between India and England back in 2016 where on the back of a superb Virat Kohli century, the hosts claimed a victory by 246 runs. In the only other Test at this venue, India secured a convincing 203-run win against South Africa in 2019.

England have already named their playing XI for the second Test match. Shoaib Bashir, the uncapped off-spinner, has replaced Jack Leach while James Anderson comes into the side replacing Mark Wood.

India have decisions to make regarding their playing XI with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul  ruled out due to injury issues.
