ICC Awards 2023: From cricketers of the year to the teams, full list of winners
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a series of awards and winners for 2023, apart from also revealing the ICC Teams of the Year. There were several nominations across several award categories, and India were represented by the likes of Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Suryakumar Yadav.
We now take a look at the complete list of individual ICC annual awards for 2023 and their winners:
ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year
Usman Khawaja: Australia’s Usman Khawaja was named as the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year for 2023. Khawaja edged teammate Travis Head, India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and England’s Joe Root for the award. In 2023, he scored 1210 runs from 13 matches as Australia bagged the World Test Championship (WTC) title.
ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year
Bas de Leede: Netherlands’ Bas de Leede was announced as the winner of the ICCC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year. De Leede scored 285 runs and took 15 wickets in Netherlands’ ODI World Cup qualifying campaign last year, and was equally impressive for the Dutch in the ODI World Cup in India, scoring 139 runs and taking 16 wickets.
ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year
Queentor Abel: Kenya’s Queentor Abel was named the ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year. She scored 476 runs in T20Is last year at an average of 34, while also taking 30 wickets at an average of 7.34.
ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year
Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar Yadav has won the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year for a second year running. He scored 733 runs from 18 T20Is last year, with an average of 48.86 and a strike-rate of more than 150.

ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year
Hayley Matthews: Hayley Matthews became the second West Indian, after Stafanie Taylor in 2015, to win this award. The highlight of Matthews’ performances in T20Is were knocks of 99*, 132 and 79 against Australia in Australia.
ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year
Rachin Ravindra: New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra was announced as the winner of the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year. He beat the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gerald Coetzee and Dilshan Madushanka for the award. Ravindra had amassed 578 runs in the ODI World Cup last year.
ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year
Phoebe Litchfield: Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield beat the likes of Marufa Akter, Lauren Bell and Darcy Carter for the ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. She has gone onto become a pivotal part of Australia’s top-order batting over the last 12 months.

ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year
Chamari Athapaththu: Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu has been announced the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year after a magnificent 2023 where she scored 415 runs from eight matches.

ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year
Virat Kohli won the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year award. Kohli has gone onto amass 1377 runs from 27 ODIs, but more importantly, he broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most centuries during the World Cup.
ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year Award
England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt has been named the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year award. Sciver-Brunt was instrumental for England throughout the year, including a few brilliant knocks in the Women’s Ashes.
ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year Award
Pat Cummins was named as the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year award. Cummins guided Australia to WTC and ODI World Cup titles in 2023.
