Hyderabad: Golconda Fort’s moat wall damaged again
At a time when Hyderabad is eyeing a place on the coveted list of world heritage cities, one of its most iconic structures — the Golconda Fort — is bleeding from repeated damage. In the latest incident, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has broken down a part of the ancient fort’s moat wall (deep, wide trench around a fortified place) to create a water channel.
