CBI books five for swindling Rs 3cr from BoB currency chest

The anti-corruption wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted a counterfeit currency racket involving three officials of Bank of Baroda's Dr Nanjappa Road branch in Coimbatore. On June 29, the CBI booked S Jayasankaran, custodian of the currency chest of the bank, R Selvaraj and M Rajan, joint custodians of the chest, A Srikanth, temporary employee at the bank, and N Kanagaraj, an armed guard. They were charged with swindling 3.3 crore from the currency chest.
