Collector, SP shifted; SIT to probe Kallakurichi incidents
The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday transferred the collector and SP of Kallakurichi, and formed a six-member special investigation team (SIT) to probe the death of a Class XII girl on her school campus and the subsequent violence in the district. The Madras high court, meanwhile, gave permission for a re-postmortem of the girl's body even if the parents refused to cooperate.
