Theekshana will be undergoing scans on Friday to assess the extent of the injury.

“Maheesh Theekshana has strained his right hamstring. The player will undergo a scan tomorrow to fully assess his condition,” Sri Lanka Cricket posted on X on Thursday.

Despite the injury, Theekshana completed his nine-over spell in the 42-over match before leaving the pitch in the 39th over.

If Theekshana misses the final it will be a big blow for Sri Lanka who are already missing some important players due to injury issues. Some of the players missing the Asia Cup for Sri Lanka are Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Madushanka, and Lahiru Kumara.
