Virat Kohli has found his range – both on and off the field. The runs are back, the centuries are back, the passionate celebrations are back too and so are the antics.

Even when he’s not part of the playing XI, he never misses an opportunity to force the cameras to focus on him. In the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 Super Four encounter between India and Bangladesh, Kohli was rested from the playing XI and took on the role of a water boy for his side. His sprint onto the field after the dismissal of Anamul Haque was a peculiar one – the sight that had fans in stitches.

Food delivery app Zomato shared a video with the caption, “pov: your order has arrived.”

Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first and Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur vindicated this decision with three early wickets.

India made wholesale changes to their lineup for this match, resting key players like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kuldeep Yadav. They handed debut to Tilak Varma and brought in Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur, and Suryakumar Yadav for this match against Bangladesh. The side has already made it to the final where they will take on Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately, Shreyas Iyer continues to miss out on his third consecutive match owing to an ongoing fitness concern, as confirmed by the BCCI. Bangladesh, on the other side, saw Tanzib Shakib making his ODI debut. At the time of filing this piece, Bangladesh was 129 for 4 with Shakib al Hasan and Towhid Hridoy stitching an important partnership.

Here are the playing XI for both the sides:

India: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna.

Bangladesh: Shakib Al Hasan (c), Litton Das, Tanzid Hasan, Anamul Haque, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman.
