West Bengal: 3.6cr register for Duare scheme

Calcutta High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by public distribution system (PDS) dealers challenging the state government’s ‘Duare Ration’ programme. This paved the way for the pilot run of the scheme, targeting 15% beneficiaries in every district. In Kolkata, 120 dealers took part in the programme and delivered ration on the doorstep.
