'Wanted to hide something': RG Kar Ex-principal Sandip Ghosh came under CAG lens in 2021
The Comptroller and Auditor General identified financial irregularities at R G Kar Medical College in 2021, the year Sandip Ghosh became the principal. Ghosh reportedly ignored multiple reminders from CAG. An audit revealed improper procurement procedures and excess expenditure due to non-compliance with state GST norms, resulting in additional costs of Rs 1.3 crore.
