Tamil Nadu BJP office-bearers to meet on October 3
The BJP state unit in Tamil Nadu has called a meeting to discuss the situation following the AIADMK's exit from the NDA alliance. The party is also engaging in discussions with other potential alliance partners. The BJP national leadership is still assessing the situation and has issued a gag order on speaking about alliances in public. The meeting will focus on strengthening booth committees and it is hoped that the issue with the AIADMK can be resolved soon. The AIADMK leaders, however, maintain that their decision to end the alliance is final.
