Rain continues to pummel Goa, rivers in full spate, flood warning in Bicholim and Sattari
After a day-long respite, heavy showers once again lashed the state on Thursday, inundating fields causing landslides and forcing rivers to overflow. The return of heavy rainfall not only doused hopes of farmers who were waiting to salvage their paddy cultivation, but also kept fire department personnel on their toes.
