Living dangerously: Daily struggle of TNUHDB residents in crumbling homes
Residents of Kabalithottam and Pallakumaniyam face hazardous living conditions with falling roofs and crumbling balconies. Though the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board promised redevelopment, they have not provided temporary housing during the transition. Many daily wage workers demand allotment letters to ensure they have homes after the redevelopment and avoid relocation to distant Ennore.
