The Cauvery water management authority on Tuesday deferred Karnataka’s Mekedatu dam plan following strong objections from the Tamil Nadu government. The authority also deferred the Tamil Nadu government’s Cauvery-Gundar interlinking project following objections from Karnataka representatives.
