That's all for today. There are two matches tomorrow – KKR vs DC at 3.30 pm and MI vs PBKS at 7.30 pm so do join us for another action packed day.

See you.

23:22 (IST)

Kane Williamson: "It's a good feeling. I think we can look at our performance and say it was much improved. There was some clarity in our roles as well, that's important whether you win or lose. It's nice to have a win, it's been some time since the last one. Hopefully as a group we can keep building on this, and the younger players can come in and take some opportunities to shine.

There were a couple of phases of play towards the end of the RR innings that were important for us. Obviously Sanju batted really well and they were looking likely to score a few more, but we closed out nicely, which gave us a chance. We restricted them to a par-ish total, and then batted well, building partnerships throughout. It wasn't going to be easy, the ball was holding to the surface a little, but we got over it.

Jason Roy brings an injection of energy into whichever team he's in. He's been on the sidelines for a while, but always ready to go. He came on and did what he does, which is take the game on and try to get us off to a good start. He's a fantastic player, great contribution from him.

We got a couple of days now between games, we recover and then we go to a different venue. We'll have to adapt, make adjustions and then take on the top team CSK. We have to focus on our cricket, continue playing with a smile on our faces and improve in this last leg of the tournament."

23:20 (IST)

Jason Roy is the player of the match

"It makes me extremely happy. Really grateful for the opportunity from Sunrisers. I had to kind of access different areas. Wasn't as free-flowing the way I hope. It was a case of getting the team close to the total. Saha was instrumental in that partnership. Allowed me to relax early on."

23:03 (IST)

Sanju Samson: "It was a decent score. The wicket was sticky, and they were bowling well. We could have got 10 or 20 more runs. The last over was the difference. I wanted to keep going, but we kept losing one or two wickets. We got the target which we were aiming for after the timeout. We definitely need to work a lot on our batting and bowling. We need to be at our best each and every ball. We need to lift our standards."

23:00 (IST)

The debutant Jason Roy set the tempo with a quickfire half-century and then captain Williamson did the rest. The target was a tricky one but SRH achieved it in 18.3 overs. Rajasthan's task to get into the top four has taken a setback after tonight's loss but they are not completely out.

22:57 (IST)

That's it! SRH win by seven wickets.

Skipper Williamson scores another boundary through mid-wicket region and also completes his fifty.

22:56 (IST)

Shot! A low full toss by Mustafizur and Williamson fetches a boundary through mid-wicket.

22:55 (IST)

After 17 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 159/3

After the six, Williamson gets a good short ball. He plays it towards cover and wants to take the single but sent back. Morris' throw is off target, allowing the batsmen to complete the single on overthrow. Abhishek then flicks it in the air to backward square leg but can't find the boundary, just a single. Williamson hits a boundary and then gets a bouncer. The square leg umpire signals wide so one extra ball to bowl. A single through deep point and Williamson will keep the strike. Six required from 12 balls. They should get it done.

22:52 (IST)

Short ball by Sakariya but not short enough, Williamson flicks from his hips and finds the gap on the leg-side. Class.

22:49 (IST)

Well done! Abhishek times this one well and the ball is over deep mid-wicket for a six. Good start to the over.

22:48 (IST)

After 17 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 143/3 ( Kane Williamson (C) 37 , Abhishek Sharma 13)

Mustafizur replaces Morris after the timeout and he starts off well with two dots. Abhishek then flicks towards deep square leg to get off strike. Three dots in five balls so Mustafizur needs to finish strong. Abhishek sends final ball towards deep mid-wicket, Kane Williamson wants two but he is sent back and manages to cross the line in time. Pressure building.

22:40 (IST)

After 16 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 139/3 ( Kane Williamson (C) 36 , Abhishek Sharma 11)

Sakariya continues. Abhishek is off the strike with a push towards cover. The pacer then bowls a good slow bouncer as Williamson ducks. Abhishek then pulls the ball through deep mid-wicket and the batsmen do well to run two. Abhishek misses a low full toss down the leg, the umpire signals it wide but replay shows the ball brushing the pad. A double by the SRH skipper to end the over. 26 needed in 24 balls.

22:35 (IST)

After 15 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 131/3 ( Kane Williamson (C) 33 , Abhishek Sharma 8)

Looks like Chris Morris didn't like the boundary shot by Abhishek. A few words were exchanged in the middle of the over as the umpire intervenes and asks Morris to focus on his bowling. It has not been going right for the all-rounder since the IPL resumed in the UAE and the frustration is seen on his face. Seven off this over.

22:31 (IST)

Nicely done. Short by Chirs Morris, Abhishek pulls towards backward square leg for a welcome boundary.

22:30 (IST)

After 14 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 124/3 ( Kane Williamson (C) 32 , Abhishek Sharma 2)

Sakariya continues. Abhishek is off the mark with a single down deep point. Another good over by the left-armer as he concedes only five runs. SRH need 41 runs in 36 balls.

22:27 (IST)

After 13 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 119/3 ( Kane Williamson (C) 30 , Abhishek Sharma 0)

Kane Williamson has been really good but he needs to stay till the end. The batting has been a big problem area and once again SRH lost two quick wickets. Priyam Garg couldn't make an impact and another youngster Abhishek Sharma joins his skipper in the middle.

22:24 (IST)

Priyam Garg is gone. Slow ball by Mustafizur as the batsman sends it straight to the bowler. Priyam Garg c and b Mustafizur 0(1)

22:22 (IST)

Williamson pushes the ball in the air and into the gap between mid-off and mid-wicket.

22:21 (IST)

After 12 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 114/2 ( Kane Williamson (C) 25 , Priyam Garg 0)

Sakariya into the attack. Williamson gets an outside edge on his cut, the ball goes to the fielder at third-man for a single. The skipper goes for the same shot later in the over, this time he gets beaten. Samson thinks he nicks but the umpire is not interested. It's a good over as Sakariya gets rid of Roy. But the opener has done the damage.

22:19 (IST)

GONE!

Sakariya with the big wicket of Roy. Slower ball down the leg, Roy tries to scoop it but gets an edge as Samson completes the catch. Roy c Samson b Chetan Sakariya 60(42)

22:16 (IST)

After 11 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 111/1 ( Jason Roy 59 , Kane Williamson (C) 23)

Talk about an eventful over. Jason Roy takes on Rahul Tewatia and smashes him for 21 runs. After completing his fifty, he hits one straight to cover fielder but Jaiswal drops the catch and then a boundary to finish the over. SRH's required run-rate is now 6.

22:13 (IST)

What an over. Roy takes chances with a reverse sweep and he finds another four.

22:13 (IST)

Another boundary. This time he sweeps between depp midwicket and long-on

22:12 (IST)

That's 50 for Roy and he gets there with a boundary towards fine-leg.

22:11 (IST)

Roy slog sweeps this one over square leg. Brilliant shot.

22:11 (IST)

After 10 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 90/1 ( Jason Roy 41 , Kane Williamson (C) 22)

Lomror bowls his third over. They were no boundaries for sometime but Williamson gets one in this over. The timing on the shot is sublime as the ball falls just behind the rope. Nine off this one.

22:08 (IST)

Wow!

Williamson lifts the ball on the backfoot and clears the long-off boundary. Morris dives but it's too tough for him.

22:06 (IST)

After 9 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 81/1 ( Jason Roy 40 , Kane Williamson (C) 14)

Tewatia continues. Two singles off the first two balls and then a dot. Roy goes for the sweep against a wide of off stump delivery, not a clean shot but enough to take a single. Two runs off the final ball as the Englishman takes the aerial route over cover. The long-on fielder cuts it over near the boundary.

22:03 (IST)

After 8 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 75/1 ( Jason Roy 36 , Kane Williamson (C) 12)

Lomror continues. Three fielders on the off side and one at short fine-leg. Williamson pushes the ball towards leg-side and batsmen take two runs. In the next ball, he cuts it towards deep cover and takes two more runs. The skipper does well to make use of the big boundaries. Seven off this over.

21:59 (IST)

After 7 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 68/1 ( Jason Roy 34 , Kane Williamson (C) 7)

Leg-spinner Rahul Tewatia into the attack. A dot and then Roy flicks it towards deep mid-wicket to get off strike. Williamson then knocks it down to  backward square leg and takes a single. Three more singles in the over.

21:54 (IST)

After 6 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 63/1 ( Jason Roy 31 , Kane Williamson (C) 5)

A good over by Mahipal Lomror. He concedes a boundary in the second ball but does well in the rest of the deliveries. Six off it and the umpire signals a timeout. SRH need another 102 runs in 84 balls. They'll be happy with the start.

21:52 (IST)

Williamson is off the mark with a boundary off his first ball. Wide by Lomror and the batsman finds the gap in the cover region.

21:51 (IST)

Stumped! Saha steps up and tries a big one but misses his shot. Breakthrough for RR. W Saha st Samson b Lomror 18(11)

21:50 (IST)

After 5 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 57/0 ( Jason Roy 30 , Wriddhiman Saha (W) 18)

Poor over by Chris Morris. Gave away easy runs to Roy. 18 from this over and looks like the South African needs some time away from bowling. SRH go past the 50-run mark inside the powerplay, which brings the asking rate below eight.

21:47 (IST)

Another one. Roy doesn't get the timing right but it's in the gap and the ball reaches the deep mid-wicket boundary.

21:46 (IST)

Full toss by Morris. Roy flicks it fine for a another boundary.

21:46 (IST)

Four leg byes.

Slow ball down the leg as it brushes Roy's pads and runs to the fine-leg boundary.

21:45 (IST)

Roy with a nice cut against a slow ball by Morris. Into the gap between short third man and point.

21:44 (IST)

After 4 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 39/0 ( Jason Roy 16 , Wriddhiman Saha (W) 18)

Mustafizur into the attack now. Roy was looking for the boundaries in the first three overs and there were signs of frustration but he gets the runs in this one. Two boundaries plus four byes as Mustafizur's first over proves to be a costly one. 13 off it.

21:42 (IST)

Slower ball again by Mustafizur, full as Roy sends it over cover and it reaches the boundary.

21:41 (IST)

Four byes!

Roy misses his cut on a slower ball but Samson fails to collect it on the bounce. Bonus runs for SRH.

21:41 (IST)

Slower ball by Mustafizur, but it is short as Roy lifts it oover short fine-leg for a boundary.

21:39 (IST)

After 3 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 26/0 ( Jason Roy 7 , Wriddhiman Saha (W) 18)

Ordinary two overs by Unadkat. Not much pace and he's not bowling the right line and length. Saha rightly takes advantage in this over, scoring 12 off it. The left-arm pacer concedes 20 from his two overs.

21:37 (IST)

Short and wide by Unadkat, Saha punches through vacant cover region.

21:35 (IST)

Short by Unadkat and Saha has no problem clearing the deep mid-wicket boundary. First six of the match for SRH.

21:34 (IST)

After 2 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 14/0 ( Jason Roy 6 , Wriddhiman Saha (W) 7)

Chris Morris into the attack. Two dots to start the over and then Roy takes a single after a pull towards deep square leg. Roy then pierces the gap between mid-wicket and mid-on but Jaiswal chases and stops the ball with a dive near the boundary. Three runs taken.

21:31 (IST)

After 1 overs,Sunrisers Hyderabad 8/0 ( Jason Roy 2 , Wriddhiman Saha (W) 5)

Unadkat starts with an outside off-stump ball, Roy with tentative movement before knocking it down. He's off the mark in the next ball, a block and he's quickly off to complete a single. Two more singles and a boundary off the final ball. Eight from the first over.

21:29 (IST)

Saha doesn't time it pefectly but it is good enough to reach the deep mid-wicket boundary. Four off the last ball.

21:25 (IST)

Time for the second innings. Jason Roy and Wriddhiman Saha are out in the middle for the chase. Jaydev Unadkat will start the proceedings for RR.

21:14 (IST)

After 20 overs,Rajasthan Royals 164/5 ( Mahipal Lomror 29 , Rahul Tewatia 0)

Kaul gets the last over. Lomror fails to connect with the first delivery, but he doesn't care, he's already off and running to get Samson back on strike. Samson tries to go big, but he's caught out a little by the length, and ends up tamely lobbing it straight into the hands of Holder at long on. He'll be irritated, he knows that should've been sent into the stands. Single on the next ball. Riyan Parag on strike, and he tries to go big on his first ball, but it's high, and Roy takes a very very good catch at long-off. Lomror is then dropped by Samad at deep square leg. Just four runs come off this final over, what incredible bowling from Siddharth Kaul, who also picks up two wickets. Rajasthan Royals post a total of 164/5, which is about par for the course, just one run less than what RCB managed last night. Still, they'll be upset at how they failed to make the most of the final over.

Live Score RCB vs MI, IPL 2021, Today's Match:

The debutant Jason Roy set the tempo with a quickfire half-century and then captain Williamson did the rest. The target was a tricky one but SRH achieved it in 18.3 overs. Rajasthan's task to get into the top four has taken a setback after tonight's loss but they are not completely out.

Preview: The competition is heating up and RR would look to get crucial points on the board against a struggling SRH side. RR have travelled a roller-coaster in the 2nd leg as well. They snatched victory from jaws of defeat against PBKS but then lost heavily against Delhi Capitals. They need to regroup and come out all guns blazing against SRH. They are languishing second from bottom with eight points and would be desperate for a win. Their batting let them down in the last match. The bowlers did well to restrict DC to 154. They still could have done a better job as it was a slow wicket.

Chasing the target, RR lost Liam Livingstone, Yashasvi Jaiswal and David Miller inside 5 overs and then kept losing wickets at crucial intervals. They never got the momentum going and it built the pressure. Sanju Samson was the lone fighter as he made 70 off 53 balls but he didn't get the required support from the other end.

RR need to be wary of the fact that SRH will have nothing to lose as they have been knocked out and they might play some fearless cricket.

Chris Morris and Evin Lewis missed out in the last match due to niggles and RR would be hoping both are back for the crucial tie.

Kane Williamson, skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Sanju Samson, captain of Rajasthan Royals. Sportzpics

SRH, on the other hand, would be looking to hit the reset button after a disappointing campaign where they have won just one match from 9 so far. The batting hasn't clicked at all and they couldn't chase down 126 against PBKS in the last match.

Jason Holder (47 off 29) and Wriddhiman Saha (31 off 37) were the shining lights in the chase. They might look to make some changes and give the youngsters a chance in order to build for the next edition. A lot more will be expected in the batting department from senior pros like David Warner, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, and others.

With SRH having nothing to lose and RR looking to stay in the hunt for the play-offs, we can expect a cracker.
