And it’s a soft dismissal for Rajat Patidar at that as he ends up tamely chipping the ball to the man at cover after getting surprised by the extra turn on offer. India in deep trouble at the moment, and this phase might just prove crucial not just for the Rajkot Test but for the series itself.

Was an inswinging delivery that nipped away in the last second, enough to get the outside nick that resulted in a simple catch for England keeper Ben Foakes.

It's time for the third India vs England Test at Rajkot. The series is levelled 1-1 and the hosts will be aiming to take a lead in the five-match series but they go into the match with a depleted batting lineup. It's a test for India's bench strength against an experienced English pace attack and equally inexperienced spin bowlers. The toss takes place at 9 AM IST. Match starts at 9.30 AM IST. IND vs ENG 3rd Test Live: The Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium at Rajkot has been renamed as Niranjan Shah Stadium and India will hope the change of the name will also help them change the score line in the five-match Test series against England which is currently level 1-1 after first two matches. England won in Hyderabad by 28 runs to stun the Indian cricket fraternity, but Rohit Sharma’s men bounced back at Visakhapatnam with a 106-run victory. Now after a 10-day break, it’s time for the third Test. India have a slight worry going into the match with Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer missing. Kohli is out due to personal reasons, Rahul is injured, while Iyer has been dropped due to poor form. This indicates that Sarfaraz Khan is set for his India debut. Rajat Patidar who debuted at Visakhapatnam should also play and Dhruv Jurel could come in for KS Bharat.
England have decided to play two pacers in James Anderson and Mark Wood, which is an indication that the pitch is not going to be a rank turner. Rajkot is also not known for producing green pitches, which means we can see a lot of runs in the third Test with Bazball prospering. India are expected to play Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, besides Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. It’s still not clear who among Axar Patel or Kuleep Yadav will be the third spinner.
