Australia in contrast, were dominant through and through, and the trio of Alyssa Healy, Rachael Haynes and Meg Lanning powered the home side to an impressive win. “Certainly nice to get a win today. Been a while since we went out there. I thought Darcie Brown was excellent today. She bowled with good aggression. Hannah did an excellent job as well. We’ve got some good young bowlers coming in. Laid the platform and pulled off a dominant win as a batting group,” says Australia captain Meg Lanning after the nine-wicket win.

Mithali Raj: Well I think, when you're put into bat, you expect an opening partnership of at least 50 runs. We couldn't get that today and as a result the middle order struggled a little. A lot more is expected of the bowling department too, especially the spinners.

It's not a performance that won the match for my team, so I need to work on some things.

We need to give the debutantes some game time before the World Cup, so this series is an excellent place to do that.

Goswami's tenth over begins with two dot balls, before Megan Lanning hits a crisp drive wide of mid-off for four! She brings up her half-century with that shot, what a performance from her. A single to follow, and three runs needed. HAYNES WRAPS IT UP WITH A BOUNDARY! It's a full toss, and it's lifted over wide mid-on to give Australia a nine-wicket win in the first ODI of the series. It's been a dominant performance all-around by Australia, and they stretch their winning run to 25 ODIs!

More Sneh Rana. Haynes goes for a sweep on the first ball, but miscues it a bit, gets the single though. Lanning's turn to try a sweep, and hers is immaculately executed, she sends it through square leg with ease, that's a boundary. Single and a double to finish the over.

The fielder's throw hits the wicket and the ball rolls away, it's an overthrow and the Australian pair run one more. It goes up for a review, though it didn't really look like a runout. Another cut and some iffy fielding results in another boundary for Haynes, who is looking in fine form at the moment, and she brings up the 2000-run mark as well!

Meghna begins with a venomous bouncer, that had a lot of speed in it and it catches Haynes by surprise, who just about fends it off and runs a single. Meg Lanning then hits an absolute cracker of a cover drive right through a narrow gap in the field for a boundary. A dot, and it's followed by another Lanning boundary, this one is pulled to midwicket. Dot and single to end this over, Australia are just cruising right now.

Alyssa Healy hits a huge six on the first ball, and it's huge both in terms of distance and significance, because it brings up 2000 runs for her. She's out on the very next ball though, as Yadav lures her in with an inviting tossed up ball, which she hits straight to Vastrakar at mid-off. Finally a breakthrough for India, but is it too little too late? Healy is replaced by Meg Lanning. Rest of the over is decent from Yadav, 7 off it.

Haynes and Healy run three. Single to round it off. 100-run mark up for the partnership, it's been some display from this opening duo.

A slightly lucky shot from Haynes on the second ball, she attempts to cut it, but it gets a slight edge and the pace of the delivery carries it past the keeper and all the way to the boundary line.
