Two dozen fire brigade officials, 20 odd policemen, scores of civic personnel and some 50 odd local residents lent a helping hand to rescue a 65-year-old woman in New Town who was stranded in the middle of a road — her leg trapped in a drain cover — for three-and-a-half hours amidst the downpour on Tuesday.
