About 150 nurses detained during a rally and sit-in protest organized by TN MRB Nurses Empowerment Association at YMCA grounds in Nandanam. They demanded more permanent posts in govt health facilities. The association previously went on strike but saw no progress. The DMK govt failed to fulfil promises in its election manifesto.
