DMDK gets 60 seats in poll alliance with AMMK
With just 20 days to go, T T V Dhinakaran’s AMMK and actor Vijayakant’s DMDK joined hands on Sunday to float ‘People’s Front’ to enter the poll fray in TN as the fourth alliance. DMDK has been allotted 60 seats in the alliance. While V K Sasikala, close aide of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, stepped aside from politics leaving her nephew Dhinakaran to fight a lone battle, the DMDK, led by actor Vijayakant, was dumped by the ruling AIADMK after the parties fell out over sharing of seats.
