With Rs 1.6k cr interest, BMC FDs grow to Rs 80k cr this year
The BMC’s corpus in fixed deposits (FDs) crossed Rs 80,000 crore this year, despite the corporation spending over Rs 2,000 crore on tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. The FDs are locked in various state-run and a few private banks.
