Ukraine's new long-range rocket delivery from US pushed to next year

Ukraine will receive its first shipment of rocket-propelled bombs adapted by Boeing, known as Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), in late December. Delivery to Ukraine is expected in early 2024 after successful verification. The GLSDB will augment Ukraine's limited supply of ATACMS rockets and allow them to hit targets at twice the distance. The production of GLSDB, jointly made by SAAB AB and Boeing, was delayed due to the signing of the contract in March. The smart bombs are GPS-guided, weather-resistant, and effective against armored vehicles.
