TN: Active cases in western dists remain a concern

The number of active Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu dropped below the 2 lakh-mark on Thursday after 27 days. At present there are 1,88,664 patients undergoing treatment for covid in the state almost a 30% drop compared to last week. TN had the second highest number of active cases in the country next to Karnataka (2,10,652). The state logged 16.813 new cases and 358 deaths on Thursday.
