Thane police file charges against 10 in Rs 16.48 lakh cryptocurrency fraud
Thane police have booked ten individuals for duping a 71-year-old man and his friend out of Rs 16.48 lakh through a cryptocurrency investment scam. The accused, pretending to be company representatives with offices in Mumbra and Dombivli, took money intermittently starting in March last year, but failed to deliver promised returns, leading the victims to file a complaint.
