Tender fraud case: DVAC raids ex-min SP Velumani

The directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption on Tuesday booked S P Velumani, the high-profile local administration minister in the erstwhile AIADMK cabinet, in a Rs 811-crore corruption case on Tuesday and searched at least 60 properties connected to him. A total of 16 individuals and business firms have been named as co-accused in the FIR for offences and irregularities committed in awarding contracts between 2014 and 2018.
