Rare idol of Vinayaki discovered near Chennai
A 5th century stone sculpture of Vinayaki, (female form of Lord Ganesha), from the pre-Pallava period, has been discovered by a team of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) officials at a village in Chengalpet district, about 100 km south of Chennai.
