Rakul: Grateful for everything I have

Rakul Preet Singh made her Bollywood debut with Yaariyan (2014), and after a four-year-long gap and a string of films down South, her next Hindi release was Aiyaary (2018). She followed it up with De De Pyaar De (2019) and Marjaavaan (2019). Though it took Rakul some time to find her feet in Bollywood, the actress refutes that it has anything to do with being an ‘outsider’. Rakul says, “I have never believed in the insider-outsider theory. This is a debate that started only recently. I believe that only talent will help you last longer at the end of the day. People will give you an opportunity if you are hard-working and talented. I have found the industry very accepting. Let’s face it, having contacts can help you get an opportunity, but it is the audience that accepts or rejects you.”
