Rahul Gandhi tweeted yesterday, calling the young lady "the country's little girl - a sharp reference to awards for India's ladies Olympians, who have been generally alluded to as "the nation's little girls"
New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today each met the group of the nine-year-old Dalit young lady who was supposedly assaulted and killed in the city's Cantonment region on Sunday, and whose body was coercively incinerated.
"I talked with the family... they need equity and that's it. They're saying equity isn't being given to them and that they ought to be helped. We will do that. I said 'I'm remaining with you. Rahul Gandhi is remaining with them until they get equity'," Mr. Gandhi was cited by news office ANI.
"Her folks' tears are saying just something single - their girl, the little girl of this nation, merits equity. Furthermore, I am with them on this way of equity," he said.
