Paediatric ventilators, Covid beds at WB govt hosps soon

In a bid to scale up paediatric Covid facilities prior to a possible third wave, the state government has decided to have close to 10,000 paediatric Covid beds spread across government-run hospitals in Bengal. Sources in the health department said 20% of these will be HDU beds while 5% will be CCU beds with ventilator facilities, while the rest will be general beds.
