New Covid case count dips in Tamil Nadu

After reporting a hike in daily Covid-19 cases for four consecutive days, Tamil Nadu reported a dip in cases on Monday when it reported 1,556 new cases compared to 1,592 on Sunday. Yet, at least 19 districts including Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Tirupathur and Chennai reported an increase in new cases compared to Sunday. The highest increase was in Thanjavur, where new cases went up to 104 from 70 on Sunday. The increase was between one and seven cases in the remaining 18 districts.
