Most 2020 state fires were in residential bldgs
More than half of all fire-related casualties in Maharashtra last year were women. Data with the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) also shows that 60% of the 762 fires in the state, that resulted either in fatalities or injuries, were reported in residential buildings.
