Metro rail devours Chennai’s green spaces
M Panneerselvam’s day does not begin without spending an hour on walking tracks in Panagal Park, T Nagar. Like him, walking is a daily routine for around 1,000 members of the Panagal Park Walkers Association for many years. Morning walkers will soon miss their stroll as metro rail will take over the green space along with five other parks for phase 2 lines.
