Krishna river gets 15MLD wastewater from 5 civic bodies

The Krishna river stretch in Telangana is polluted by 15 million litres per day (MLD) of wastewater from five municipalities along it. Following a recent order from the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the state has now submitted an action plan to build sewage treatment plants (STPs), municipal solid waste (MSW) processing units and bio-mining to curb pollution.
