Kerala: Sabarimala airport to be an uphill task

A techno-economic feasibility report (TEFR) for the proposed Sabarimala airport project has predicted that the airport would break even only in 60 years. The TEFR prepared by M/s Louis Berger Consulting Pvt Ltd, the consultant appointed by the government to undertake the study, (accessed by TOI), says ‘the project is expected break even in 60 years, with an equity internal rate of return (IRR) of 11.8% over a 60-year period with a net present value (NPV) of about Rs 8,900 crore’.
