Kerala: Carnatic vocalist Aifuna Nujum is MA Sanskrit topper
Aifuna Nujum is a talented vocalist and adept at Mapillapattu (traditional Malabar Muslim songs) and has won state-level awards in both, but her first love clearly is Sanskrit. The 22-yearold, hailing from a remote village in Peringamala, was the Kerala University topper in Sankrit in her degree course in 2018 and now has come first in MA Sanskrit General too.
