Kagiso Rabada, PotM: "The wicket favoured the seamers, I'm just glad that today was my day.

Every time we have the opportunity to practice, we try to implement what we've learned from previous mistakes. We work hard.

Having played a few IPL games here, we've seen a bit of movement from the ball, so we weren't really surprised tonight.

We played one game in Dubai, but from what I can tell, this pitch looks the best. There's some good bounce, good skid, the ball just takes off at times.

Anrich Nortje's been in good form for so long, I'm so glad to be working with him.

18:30 (IST)

South Africa win by 6 wickets!

Mahedi to bowl, South Africa need 5 runs in 42 balls. Two singles to start, and then the new man Miller hits a boundary to wrap up the win for the Proteas!

18:28 (IST)

After 13 overs,South Africa 80/4 ( Temba Bavuma (C) 30 , )

Nasum to bowl his second over. Rassie van der Dussen works it past long-on, who makes a valiant effort to prevent the boundary. The South Africa duo run three. Wide and dot follow, before Bavuma awkwardly manages to lift a shot over backward point for FOUR! Single and then Rassie van der Dussen's turn to go big, he went down the track and lifted it over the wide mid-on region for FOUR! Oh, catch! Very well done Shoriful Islam, it was a tough catch and he's held on to it just about. Van der Dussen is OUT! Too little too late for it to matter much probably.

18:23 (IST)

After 12 overs,South Africa 67/3 ( Rassie van der Dussen 15 , Temba Bavuma (C) 25)

Soumya Sarkar to bowl his first over. Two singles, a dot and another single in the first four delivers, and then Bavuma hits a boundary! It's hammered straight down the ground and over the bowler's head, one bounce and over for FOUR! Dot to end the over.

18:12 (IST)

After 10 overs,Bangladesh 40/5 ( Liton Das (W) 20 , Shamim Hossain 3)

Shoriful Islam to bowl his final over now. He's been very economical so far, can he finish off with a wicket? Single off the first ball. Oh nice work by Temba Bavuma, worked through the gap past mid-on and then he runs three. Despite the loss of wickets, South Africa are still well on course to wrap this up with a few overs to spare. Dot, single and two dots to end the over, time for a drinks break.

17:55 (IST)

After 6 overs,South Africa 33/3 ( Rassie van der Dussen 6 , Temba Bavuma (C) 0)

Taskin Ahmed to bowl the last over of the powerplay. All things considered, it's actually been a pretty decent powerplay for Bangladesh. He begins with a dot, single and dot. Oh, four byes there, that was a huge seamer and the sheer movement of it was enough to outfox both batter and keeper. OUT! Taskin Ahmed strikes and Bangladesh are actually making a game of this! Aiden Markram tries a defensive shot, but it picks up a healthy edge and slip fielder Mohammad Naim takes a good catch. Dot to end the over.

17:50 (IST)

OUT! Quinton de Kock's a goner!

South Africa have gotten off to a much slower start than they would have liked, and de Kock departs after getting bowled by Mahedi Hasan!

Quinton de Kock b Mahedi Hasan 16 (15 balls)

17:29 (IST)

After 1 overs,South Africa 6/1 ( Quinton de Kock (W) 1 , Rassie van der Dussen 0)

Taskin Ahmed to bowl the first over, and he starts with a wide. Quinton de Kock and Hendricks out for SA. Single and dot follow, and then Ahmed is absolutely convinced he's picked up a wicket here. He appeals loudly for LBW but the umpire isn't having it. Oh nicely played, punched into the offside past extra cover by Hendricks, that's FOUR! Dot and then OUT! Taskin has the early breakthrough, Hendricks is out! Beats the inside edge and traps him LBW, finger goes up straight away.

17:13 (IST)

After 19 overs,Bangladesh 84/10 ( Shoriful Islam 0 , )

Anrich Nortje to bowl the penultimate over. OUT! Caught and bowled, that was too easy for Nortje! Mahedi Hasan hits it straight up into the air and Nortje sprints to take the catch. Another wicket! Nasum Ahmed takes out his own stumps, that's hit wicket and Bangladesh are bowled out for 84! It's been an excellent bowling performance from South Africa, and it was helped to a huge extent by some terrible batting from Bangladesh. South Africa should be able to chase this down easily enough.

17:07 (IST)

OUT! Temba Bavuma gets the run out, it's a lovely throw at the bowler's end and Taskin Ahmed departs.

BAN 77/8 (17.2 overs)

16:37 (IST)

After 12 overs,Bangladesh 46/6 ( Shamim Hossain 4 , Mahedi Hasan 1)

Tabraiz Shamsi to bowl his first over now, can he bundle out the Bangladesh middle order? Starts by giving away a double, then a dot and then OUT! Tabraiz Shamsi strikes! Liton Das appears to miss the ball by a hair, and it clatters into his pad. The umpire raises the finger right away. Liton reviews, but there's no bat involved, it's out LBW! Single and two dots to end the ball.

16:32 (IST)

After 11 overs,Bangladesh 43/5 ( Liton Das (W) 22 , Shamim Hossain 4)

A third over now for Maharaj. His two overs in the powerplay were quite good, can he add to that with a wicket now? Dot and a single to start. Liton das is probably Bangladesh's best bet at the moment, but he's been scoring at a snail's pace. Two dots, two singles to end.

16:20 (IST)

After 9 overs,Bangladesh 36/5 ( Liton Das (W) 19 , Shamim Hossain 1)

Dwaine Pretorius to bowl his second over, and he's got a wicket! Afif is gone on his very first delivery as Pretorius uproots the stumps, it was a horrible bit of batting from Afif. South Africa are cruising here. Two dots and a single follow. The loss of wickets is not the only problem for Bangladesh. They're also barely scoring any runs. Dot and single to finish.

16:15 (IST)

After 8 overs,Bangladesh 34/4 ( Liton Das (W) 18 , Afif Hossain 0)

Anrich Nortje to bowl his second over. Single and dot to begin the over. Mahmudullah and Liton really need to build a partnership here. A dot and two singles, and then OUT! Anrich Nortje has his wicket! Mahmudullah was done by a shorter delivery, which he pushes into the hands of Markram at point. There's a review to see if it came off the shoulder. Nope, touched the glove, it's out!

16:01 (IST)

OUT! It's Rabada again!

Mushfiqur goes for a duck after diverting the ball into the hands of Hendricks at gully. There's a bit of talk over whether it was a clean catch, but the replay shows it's fair.

Mushfiqur Rahim c Hendricks b Rabada 0 (3 balls)

15:52 (IST)

After 4 overs,Bangladesh 22/2 ( Liton Das (W) 12 , Mushfiqur Rahim 0)

Kagiso Rabada to bowl his second over. Four singles and a wide to start. OUT! Kagiso Rabada strikes! Mohammad Naim's a goner, he hit straight into the hands of Hendricks at midwicket! Oh, OUT again! Rabada strikes twice in two balls! His delivery appears to hit Soumya Sarkar's boot before landing on the bat. The umpire signals not out, but SA review, and are rewarded as replays show a nick off the boot, that's LBW!

15:42 (IST)

After 3 overs,Bangladesh 17/0 ( Mohammad Naim 7 , Liton Das (W) 10)

Keshav Maharaj continues. Starts with a dot and three singles. Aiden Markram then makes a terrible error while fielding, and it's FOUR! It was just rolling wide of long-on, and Markram ends up fluffing his lines. Single to end the over.

15:39 (IST)

After 2 overs,Bangladesh 9/0 ( Mohammad Naim 1 , Liton Das (W) 8)

Kagiso Rabada to bowl now. Dot to begin, and then Liton unleashes an inch-perfect drive through the covers for FOUR! Very nicely done, used the pace of the ball to his advantage. Single and two dots follow, before Rabada lets out a huge shout for LBW! That looked close, but the umpire doesn't think it's out. South Africa let the review timer run down, they're not challenging it.

15:35 (IST)

After 1 overs,Bangladesh 4/0 ( Mohammad Naim 1 , Liton Das (W) 3)

Naim and Liton Das are out at the crease. Maharaj to open the attack. Three dots, two singles and a double, that's a very nice and tidy first over from Maharaj. Just four runs from it.

15:21 (IST)

Bangladesh Playing XI: Mohammad Naim, Liton Das(w), Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah(c), Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed

"We would have looked to bowl first too. We've got two changes. Mustafizur is rested, Nasum comes in. Shakib's missing too, Shamim Hossain takes his place. It's a good opportunity for all of us to step up. We've been very close to winning in the three matches we've played, so we need to play for our pride now and win a match or two." - Mahmudullah

15:06 (IST)

South Africa win the toss and opt to bowl

"That's generally been our trend, we look to chase. Our win in the last match did a world of good to our confidence. We'll keep trying to build up momentum. Looking at the wicket, we're hoping it can assist our quicks. No changes for our team." - Temba Bavuma

Preview: Bangladesh were edged out by West Indies by three runs in a last-ball thriller in their previous match as the Windies kept their hopes of retaining the Twenty20 World Cup title alive with their first win.

Bangladesh needed 13 off the 20th over bowled by Andre Russell but fell just short on 139 for five in Sharjah to lose their third straight Super 12 match, all but ending their chances of making the semi-finals.

Dwayne Bravo had struck a huge blow when he took the wicket of Bangladesh's top scorer Liton Das, who was on 44, with the final ball of the 19th over.

Liton and Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah took it almost down to the wire before the former departed and then Russell held his nerve in the final over to give the West Indies a crucial win.
