Goa: House refers tree, tenant bills to select panel

The Goa legislative assembly on Tuesday referred the Goa Preservation of Trees (Amendment) Bill, 2021 which dilutes the power of the tree authority, and the Goa (Verification of Tenants) Bill, 2021 which proposes stricter penalties on those failing to submit details about their tenants to police, to the select committee.
