A higher secondary school principal from Vaddem in Vasco, Walter Cabral was distressed when he heard about a student from the neighbourhood losing both parents to Covid-19. In time, he learnt of many other cases where the child had lost either a parent or a family member during the pandemic, which was leaving an emotional impact and affecting education.
