'Getting better': Ravindra Jadeja shares update ahead of India squad announcement for remaining Tests vs England
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to Instagram on Thursday to provide an update on his recovery from a hamstring injury that had kept him out of the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. “Getting better,” wrote Jadeja on Instagram, along with a picture of himself in all smiles. Jadeja had scored 87 in the first innings of the first Test against England in Hyderabad. The BCCI are expected to announce the India squad for the remaining three Tests against England, but it remains to be seen if Jadeja would take part in the remainder of the series.
Apart from Jadeja, KL Rahul had also missed the Visakhapatnam Test due to a quadriceps injury. Senior batter Virat Kohli, too missed the opening two Tests owing to personal reasons and his inclusion in the squad for the next three Tests also remains uncertain.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double century, Shubman Gill hit a century and Jasprit Bumrah took nine wickets as India defeated England in the second Test in Vizag by 106 runs. The five-match series is 1-1, with the third Test to be played in Rajkot from 15 February.
