CISCE XII exam: 3 Bengaluru girls bag second rank
Eighteen candidates have shared the top rank in CISCE Class 12 exam with a score of 99.75%, according to results announced on Sunday. The second rank has been shared by 58 candidates, including three girls from Bengaluru, who scored 99.5%, while 78 candidates scored 99.25% to share the 3rd rank. The pass percentage stood at 99.52 with girls outshining boys by a sliver of a margin, officials said. Explaining the result computation formula, board secretary Gerry Arathoon said that first-semester marks of each subject have been halved except for subjects like geometrical, mechanical drawing and art. Of the 2,169 students who appeared for the ISC (Indian School Certificate) class 12 exam from Karnataka, 99.72% passed.
