Washington: The US needs to intently watch China as it would attempt to assume control over the Bagram aviation-based armed forces base in Afghanistan following the Taliban's takeover of the conflict-torn nation and use Pakistan to get more grounded to conflict with India, a previous senior American ambassador has cautioned. 

America's previous agent to the United Nations Nikki Haley said President Joe Biden has lost the trust and certainty of American partners after his hurried choice to pull out troops from Afghanistan. She said there are many difficulties before the US. 

The US needs to ensure that Americans are secured and the country's network protection is solid "since entertainers like Russia will keep on hacking us since we give no indications of eagerness to retaliate," she said.

In July, the US military left Bagram Airfield - its critical base in Afghanistan - after almost 20 years. At its stature, the Bagram base was home to a huge number of US troops.
