Chennai: 1,000-plus cases for 1st time since Oct
Chennai on Thursday retained its tag of the worst affected district in the state, recording 1,083 of Tamil Nadu’s 2,817 fresh Covid-19 infections. Chennai’s case count crossed the 1,000-mark for the first time since October 2020. The state also reported 19 deaths, including that of a 39-year-old woman who died in her Ramanathapuram residence in 2020.
