Bengal's 3.5L direct purchase among 7.5L vax arrivals
Two more vaccine consignments flew into Kolkata on Monday afternoon bringing in close to 7.5 lakh doses of Covishield. While 3.5 lakh doses have been procured by the state on its own, about 4 lakh doses have come from the Government of India. On Sunday, the state had purchased one lakh Covaxin doses from the manufacturers. While the vaccines purchased by the state will be used for phase three inoculation drive, the vials from the Centre will be used for second dose.
