The 35-year-old Aquaman star secretly welcomed her first child, Oonagh Paige Heard, back in April. Heard shared the news with fans on Thursday along with a gorgeous photo of her holding her baby girl.
The actress acknowledged she hopes to keep her private life private, but understands "the nature of my job compels me to take control" of sharing the happy news.
"My daughter was born on April 8, 2021," she concluded. "Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She's the beginning of the rest of my life."
In an Instagram post, the actor said she welcomed daughter Oonagh Paige Heard on 8 April. A photo of Heard with the baby nestled against her accompanied Thursday’s announcement.
“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” Heard said in the post. “I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring to have a crib.” “The most important thing for Amber is that she’ s open about Oonagh’s birth,” the source continued. Some so many women feel they can’t talk about their fertility and are worried and embarrassed; Amber wants them to feel supported and realize that there are a multitude of ways to have a baby even if you have fertility issues.
