5 more Omicron cases, Kolkata Covid count surges

Five more Covid patients were detected with the Omicron variant in Bengal on Wednesday, doubling the Omicron count in a day to 10. Four of the five new Omicron patients had no recent foreign travel history, pointing to a possible transmission of the new variant in the community.
