Delta continues to be the most dominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 virus in circulation in Mumbai, according to the third Covid-19 genetic sequencing results released by the BMC on Sunday. And, in keeping with the trend seen in the rest of the world, the survey showed that the proportion of Delta derivatives in the city’s samples has increased.
