Two drivers convicted in the death of AIADMK minister Mariam Pitchai in road accident
A court in Perambalur sentenced two drivers to 16 months' imprisonment for their roles in the 2011 road accident that killed AIADMK minister N Mariam Pichai. Car driver S Anandhan and truck driver Niyamatullah were also fined. Mariam Pichai sustained fatal injuries while en route to Chennai.
